“O for a Muse of fire,
that would ascend
The brightest heaven
of invention,
A kingdom for a
stage, princes to act
And monarchs to
behold the swelling

RC Weslowski

RC Weslowski

RC Weslowski is a performance poet that sometimes defies categorization.

He has toured Europe with his poetry, performing on the Eiffel Tower in France and along the Rhine in Germany. He has traveled across Canada and the U.S. individually as well as a 4 time member of the Vancouver Poetry Slam Team (199-2001 and 2003). His work is bawdy, provocative, iconoclastic, silly and surreal. It is somehow designed to shake and settle a soul all at the same time. RC has also written a children's poetry book called monkey pudding.

RC has featured at The Winnipeg Writer's Festival, The Vancouver Storytelling Festival, Word on the Street, The In The House Festival, Under the Volcano Festival and Music West. His work has been performed by in theatres from as far away as St. Louis and back home in Vancouver.

RC has self produced two spoken word cd's entitled The Sound of One Hand Napping and Macaca Fuscata Autodidact.

RC is also the Artistic Director for the 2005 Canadian Festival of Spoken Word which will be coming to Vancouver from Oct 11-15.

RC is also an actor, a clown, and a voice over announcer. If his standards weren't so low, RC would have sold out by now.
