Ken Mitchell

Ken Mitchell


Ken Mitchell is a writer and performer who has also done stints as a novelist, playwright and university professor. His screenplay, The Hounds of Notre Dame, nomination in 1981, and his "country opera" called Cruel Tears (co-written with Humphrey and the Dumptrucks) was up for a Chalmers Award in 1977.

He has since returned to his Moose Javian heritage and taken up the performance of cowboy poetry. He tours with a group called Bill Gomersall and the Mitchell Boys, who appear wherever oral tradition flourishes and spoken word is uttered. Bill is 100 years old.
