“O for a Muse of fire,
that would ascend
The brightest heaven
of invention,
A kingdom for a
stage, princes to act
And monarchs to
behold the swelling
scene!”
-Willam Shakespeare
King Henry V

Fred Holliss

Fred Holliss
Fred has been writing, performing, publishing and producing poetry across Western Canada since 1991, both solo and with his musical cohorts as Holliss and Associates. Being booed at the South Country Faire was a particular highlight, as was being asked to open with a one-hour set for not one but two nights at Jazzerwocky 2002. However, it was a particular surprise this year to be approached by a marionette company for permission to make a puppet in his likeness. It turns out that not only has Fred been doing this for a long time, but that some of the events have

acheived legendary status, necessitating their re-enactment on film. And with puppets, no less. Booyah!
